Associate Staff, Microscopy and Microanalysis Research Group

NIST

Sasawat Jamnuch is a Ph.D. graduate in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego. He stands out for his work in surface and interfacial science, especially in the study of non-linear optics in the x-ray regime. Currently, he’s pushing forward with simulation methods under the DFT framework for layered materials and larger systems. Working at NIST within the Microscopy and Microanalysis Research Group, he plays a key role in research that combines theory with practice. Sasawat also has a keen interest in the culinary arts and fine dining, which aligns with his scientific exploration, showing his appreciation for creativity in both cuisine and science.
